November Disability History and Culture Calendar Slide Deck is live!

The November slide deck is ready to view and use, filled with disability history, notable birthdays, and awareness days for K-5 and 6-12 students, with built-in teacher guidance, discussion prompts, and related media.

This month includes Native American Heritage Month, the First Talking Books, the birthday of extreme wheelchair athlete Aaron Fotheringham, World Toilet Day, Sojourner Truth and more.

Pull up a slide during morning meeting, in announcements, or alongside a lesson you’re already teaching. Five minutes is all it takes.

More November dates will be added soon too. And keep in mind, the dates are a guide, not a rule. The content is worth sharing any time.

September and October are still up as well, and every published deck keeps growing as new entries are added.
