Each slide in this deck shows an image of an everyday object, space, or feature and asks one question: What do you know or notice about this?
Some of these things you have seen or used hundreds of times. Some may be new. All of them have a connection to disability, access, and design that is worth exploring.
Ways to use:
Bell ringer or morning meeting opener: one slide at a time
Standalone activity: work through several slides in one session
Paired with a lesson on accessibility, universal design, or disability history
This activity can be as simple or as deep as you want it to be. Show the image, ask the question, and let students respond. The speaker notes offer background on each item and discussion questions to go deeper if you want to.
