The Olmstead Decision aka Olmstead vs. L.C. and E.W.

The Olmstead decision is a landmark towards the integration of people with disabilities in community life. In the 1999 case called, ”Olmstead vs. LC.," the Supreme Court ruled that unnecessary segregation of people with disabilities in institutions is a form of discrimination in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
